January
19: Sticky
Fingers appeared on the Higher Ground
radio program, hosted by Jonathan Overby, on the
Ideas Network of Wisconsin
Public Radio.
- March 13: Solo appearance for guest
set at the Speed Jump Java Joint in Madison. Headliner
act was the awesome James Travis.
March 16: Sticky Fingers appeared again
on the Higher Ground radio show (WPR).
- April 20: Performed as duo with Damon
Bourne of Sticky
Fingers on the Higher Ground radio program
(WPR).
- April 23: Solo performance at Cafe Montmartre
as part of a Songwriters in the Round series,
sharing the stage with Eric
Hester and John Fabke (of the Nob Hill Boys).
Sponsored by the Madison Songwriters Group.
- May 4: Sticky Fingers was the opening
act for a concert by Jonathan Overby at the Zona
Gale theatre in Portage, WI.
- May 18: Performed with Sticky
Fingers at a private graduation ceremony (congrats
to Dr. Karen!)
- May 19: Solo performance at a private
graduation ceremony (congrats to Dr. Sarah!).
May 25: Sticky
Fingers appeared again on the Higher Ground
radio program, hosted by Jonathan Overby (WPR)
- May 28 (Tues): Sticky
Fingers performed at the Argus Restaurant in
Madison starting at 7:00 pm, hosted by the Madison
Folk Music Society. Afterwards was an open mic
for Mad Folk members.
- June 7: Sticky
Fingers performed for Willy Street Live
at the Art Beat Gallery & Studio, 1148
Williamson Street, 8:00 to 9:30 pm. This was a
fundraiser for the free Madison quarterly Cup
of Poems publication and Art Beat Gallery &
Studio. It included live music, live poetry, and
live art
- June 8: Wedding performance with Alchemy
ensemble (another trio that I play with that focuses
on Medieval/Renaissance music and arrangements
of traditional folk tunes)
June 22: Performed solo on the Higher
Ground radio program, hosted by Jonathan Overby,
on the Ideas Network of Wisconsin
Public Radio.
- July 7: Performed with special guest
Damon Bourne of Sticky Fingers, for Immanual Lutheran
Church's First Sunday concert series in
Madison (corner of Spaight Street and Brearly).
We enjoyed performing outdoors on a beautiful summer
evening, on the shore of Lake Monona!

August 2002:
- August 23 (Fri): Performed solo at the
Coffee
Mill in Clayton, NC, 8-10 pm.
- August 24 (Sat): Performed solo at the
Open Eye Cafe
in Carrboro, NC, 8-10 pm.
- August 29 (Thu): "Performed"
at Primrose Preschool, Charlotte, NC -- I joined
my cousin's 4-year-old daughter Shannon and her
pals for some music, between snack time and outdoor
play time...My cousin Sherry (Shannon's mom) helped
to lead the singing, which included all-time favorites
such as "Old MacDonald" and "The
Itsy Bitsy Spider" and yes, even the Barney
song...)

Border's Books on Zeier Road in Madison. We celebrated

from both my solo CD and that of Sticky Fingers
were played on the Simply Folk (with Judy
Rose) radio program on Wisconsin Public Radio during

to 3:30 pm: Performed solo at "Live at
the Market Square" in Watertown, WI.
- October 19 (Saturday), 2002, 8 pm: Performed
solo, supporting Mary McCaslin. This concert was
sponsored by the Madison Folk Music Society.
- November
2 (Saturday), 8:00 pm:
CD RELEASE PARTY
at the Wil-Mar Center in Madison, celebrating
my debut recording, "Second Wind"
as well as that of Sticky
Fingers. Thanks to all who attended

the Opera House in Stoughton, WI for a remote broadcast
of the Higher Ground radio show (see above).
- November 30: Performed live at the Fox
Music Company in Watertown, WI.

Sticky Fingers appeared on Hotel Milwaukee,
a live radio show. UPDATE: The
show we taped on Dec. 2 aired on SATURDAY,
DECEMBER 7 on the Ideas
Network of Wisconsin

27 (Friday), 7:00 to 8:30 pm: Back in NC, performing
at Quail Ridge Books & Music. (They have my
CDs for sale there.) Located in the Ridgewood Shopping
