Ensembles | Piano solo material | Vocal selections | Accompanying for other singers LocationsTracy or the ensembles mentioned below will consider weddings within roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour of Madison, WI. Indoor facilities are strongly preferred. If you are having an outdoor wedding, a tent or other covering is requested (to protect instruments and equipment) and you must have an indoor rain site available. Electrical access will be required for either indoor or outdoor weddings. Tracy can provide excellent quality sound equipment if needed. Ensemble MusicElixir Chamber trio was formed in late 2004 and is based in Madison, WI. The group is comprised of Diane Madsen (piano), Faye Bruggink (clarinet), and Tracy Jane Comer (cello). We are available for concert settings as well as for special occasions such as weddings (ceremony and/or dinner music; we are not a dance band!), parties, dinners, etc. We have a repertoire of music pleasing for all audiences . Special arrangements of your requested selections can be provided (requires additional fee). Alchemy Ensemble is also based in Madison, WI. The group is comprised of Tracy Jane Comer (classical and steel string guitars, hammered dulcimer, cello), Faye Bruggink (clarinet), and Joanne Berg (flute). The group specializes in unique original instrumental arrangements of Medieval and Renaissance music, plus folk and folk-flavored melodies and also holiday music. Their sound is fresh and pleasing for all audiences. We are available for concert settings as well as for special occasions such as weddings (ceremony and/or dinner music; we are not a dance band!), parties, dinners, etc. Special arrangements of your requested selections can be provided (requires additional fee). Piano soloIn addition to being an award-winning contemporary acoustic singer/songwriter, Tracy is also a trained classical pianist with years of experience in accompanying and church music, including many weddings. Listed below is a just a sampling of light classical and sacred music appropriate for weddings. Most weddings include instrumental music for: Prelude (seating of guests, typically lasts 15-20 minutes prior to wedding start time), processional (entrance of attendants and bride), recessional (exit of couple and then wedding party), and postlude (exit of guests). Instrumental selections may also be appropriate for points of meditation/prayer during the ceremony (such as lighting of a unity candle or after a reading), though vocal selections are often used at such times. Other styles are also possible; please inquire.

originals, Tracy's song Perfectly is one
that has been performed
at a number of weddings. Accompanying for other singers (on piano or guitar)Tracy is an excellent accompanist on both piano and guitar. Please inquire for rates that would include accompanying another singer on your wedding day plus rehearsal time with the soloists. Cello performanceTracy can also perform cello selections for events in the greater Madison area (light classics and sacred songs, folk melodies). However you would need to supply (at your expense) a competent, trained accompanist who would be available to rehearse in advance of the wedding also; otherwise Tracy may be able to help secure an accompanist who would need to be paid separately. Please inquire. Sound EquipmentTracy can provide equipment needed for her own performance for a small additional load-in fee. Sufficient time for setup at the wedding site would be necessary, so be sure your facility will be open for that purpose; as a rule of thumb allow one hour before music start time for sound setup. Tracy can also assist you with providing additional microphones on stands should you need them for the service (for readers, etc.). (Sorry, wireless lapel microphones are NOT available.) Reasonable rates will be based on your choice of service, location of wedding, specific music selected (already in repertoire or special requests), whether sound equipment is needed, and total time commitment. Consultations in advance of your wedding to help choose or demo music etc. are at a rate of $25 per hour. A non-refundable 15% deposit on the total charges may be required at the time of contracting to reserve the date. |
